Sylwester Kolton: Born in Poland, Sylwester Kolton started his interest in photography at the age of ten, when he received his first 35mm camera, a gift from his parents. He set up a darkroom in a family home basement where he began developing and printing his first black and white photographs. Educated in Poland, Sylwester Kolton developed a further interest in photography and the arts. Creativity is certainly a part of his makeup. His great-grandfather has been a photographer and his father was skilled in drawing.As an adult he moved to London and started to work as a photojournalist for PAP Press and Glamour Magazine. Over the years he began to focus on black and white candid photography and finally decided that he would like to dedicate himself to this type of photography and raise it to a status of an art.Sylwester Kolton made clear his photography happens in his camera and is not enhanced by artificial light, image manipulation or even cropping. He believes that all photographs should be natural and all edits should be done when an image is taken. His equipment is a light 35mm camera and 35mm lens.
